Arsenal completed the first unbeaten season in England since 1889, while FC Porto lost to rival Benfica 2-1 in extra time in the Portuguese Cup final Sunday.

Only two major title races are undecided in Europe. Lyon is close to a third straight trophy in France, while Panathinaikos can end Olympiakos' streak of seven straight Greek championships by winning its last game next week.

Simao Sabrosa scored the winner for Benfica, which won its first trophy in eight years.

Porto was trying to become just the fifth European team to win the Champions Cup, league and national cup in the same season. Only Celtic, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United have done it.

The Portuguese team faces Monaco in the Champions Cup final on May 26 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Porto won the continent's top trophy in its only other final appearance in 1987.

Arsenal, which beat Leicester 2-1 Saturday, won the Premier League with a 26-0-12 record for 90 points. Chelsea was second with 79, followed by Manchester United with 75, and Liverpool with 60.

''It may take 20 years for people to realize what we have done,'' Arsenal striker Thierry Henry said. France

Lyon missed a chance to clinch the French league title this weekend by losing to Paris Saint-Germain 1-0. But Lyon can win the championship by tying Lille in its last game.

Lyon leads PSG by three points and has a 14-goal advantage. Monaco, which trails PSG by one point, can still claim a spot in the group stage of the Champions League if it beats Bordeaux on Friday, and PSG loses to or ties Bastia on Saturday. Greece

Emmanuel Olisadebe scored the winner with a minute left as Panathinaikos edged Proodeftiki 2-1.

Ezequiel Gonzalez also scored for the Greek Cup winners, who can add a league title with a win in their final game.

Olympiakos topped Aris 3-0, but still trails by two points. For Olympiakos to win its eighth straight title, it will have to beat Aegaleo and hope Panathinaikos loses to Paniliakos. England

Second-place Chelsea finished its season by topping already-relegated Leeds 1-0. Many expect it to be the last match with Chelsea for manager Claudio Ranieri.

Norwich and West Brom have already been promoted, while Leicester, Leeds and Wolves have been demoted. One more team will also get moved into the top flight. Italy

Internazionale of Milan claimed the league's last Champions League berth by beating Empoli 3-2, while former national team star Roberto Baggio played his final Serie A match.

League champion AC Milan and AS Roma will go directly to the Champions League group stage, while Internazionale joins Juventus in the qualifying rounds.

Milan beat Baggio's Brescia 4-2 on the final day of the season. Baggio, who retires with a record 205 career goals in league play, helped set up both of Brescia's goals and nearly scored from a curling free kick that hit the post.

Also, Roma drew 0-0 at Sampdoria, and Juventus finished the season by topping Siena 3-1. Germany

Stuttgart closed in on second place and a group stage berth in the Champions League by beating last year's champion Bayern Munich 3-1.

Bayer Leverkusen, which defeated champion Werder Bremen 6-2, could also finish second.

Arminia Bielefeld and Nuremberg have been promoted, while Cologne is so far the only team to be relegated. Two more teams will get demoted after next week's final round. Netherlands

FC Zwolle was relegated from the Dutch league after losing to Feyenoord 7-1 as Dirk Kuijt and Darko Lazovic each scored a hat trick.

FC Volendam and Vitesse Arnhem, which finished just above Zwolle, face postseason playoffs with six first-division clubs.

Ajax clinched the title last week, and PSV assured itself a spot in the qualifying round of the Champions League. Feyenoord, AZ Alkmaar and SC Heerenveen will play in the UEFA Cup.

Arsenal had a nice season but as A2345 touched on, I would be much more impressed if they had lost a few games while still winning the Premiership and were going to be in the Champion's League final on May 26th. But they aren't. I was glad to see them get bumped off in the Champion's League. I don't like their constant griping to the officials and their obvious diving. Their sportsmanship leaves a lot to be desired as their display of thuggery against Manchester United clearly showed.

Arsenal are a very good team that had a very good league season. A great team? No.

By the way, can anyone tell be how Atletico Madrid blew that game today against Real Zaragoza? That was a perfect example of how my season has gone. They had a 1-0 lead and Zaragoza were down to ten men yet they gave up two goals in injury time.
